The fans can still have high hopes for their favorite TV show as it might be coming back with its Season 3. Tokyo Ghoul could be delivered by the end of this year.

Along with Tokyo Ghoul, the fans are also eager to see One Punch Man Season 2 on its way. The director of VizMedia senior sales and marketing Kevin Hamric was responsible for the rumors that started circulating about these two coming out in 2017:

“Nothing that’s been recently released, but One-Punch Man is coming back on with season two,” Hamric stated about Tokyo Ghoul Season 3. “There’s going to be another season of Tokyo Ghoul coming shortly. Later in the year, those would be the bigger releases on the anime side.”

On the other hand, the reaction of VizMedia was fast. They said that Kevin must have been misunderstood in his statement because there is no actual schedule or plan regarding the release date of Tokyo Ghoul.

As a consequence, this announcement has stirred the opposite rumors and comments. The audience now believes that Tokyo Ghoul is most likely due sometime in 2018. However, the producers may still surprise the fans because obviously, there are still high hopes for the production being finished this year.

Two years ago was the release of the Season 2 of the popular TV show. And the gap between the first and the second season was not big, the fans waited for the sequel only one year, as the series originally hit the screens in 2014. The reason the fans are made to wait this long for the continuation of the story is not so good reception of the second season.

The production is probably striving for the improvement in the Season 3, and that’s why it’s taking them so long to finish it. Plus to that, apparently, Ken Kaneki, who didn’t survive the series’ ending, will be returning for the next chapter. Stay tuned!
