Hollywood is always on the move to find its next big star. They just have to do it. The industry needs to get younger, and in times such as these, to go in different direction. Currently, Hollywood’s biggest star is Dwayne The Rock Johnson. He’s the one who crossed the hard transition from WWE to acting and made it easier for other wrestlers to find roles in Hollywood.

After People’s Champ and Batista another former WWE champion looking for his place in the movie industry is John Cena. Luckily for him, Dwayne Johnson is not only acting he owns his productions house, Seven Bucks Productions. Cena just landed a role in a movie which will be produced by Rampage superstar. The Rock posted an Instagram video sharing with the world that his project, The Janson Directive hired Cena for leading role.

This movie is an adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s novel, and the same writer is behind The Bourne Trilogy. The film will revolve around Paul Janson a former SEAL who gets involved in a government conspiracy. A well-known premise which could have success with Johnson & Cena behind it.

The video of Dwayne announcing John as the star of Janson Directive was captioned with: “Found my star! Congrats to my good bud John Cena on landing the lead role for our movie, THE JANSON DIRECTIVE. A project that myself, @sevenbucksprod, our production partners and Universal Studios have been developing for years now. Congrats man and I’m excited to go on this journey with you. Thank you for your commitment to the role and remember, as your producer if you screw up, I’m coming to set and droppin’ the People’s Elbow on ya. And you know first hand how devastating my elbow drops can be 😉💪🏾 Congrats my friend and let’s go make a good one.”

John Cena is currently on a hot streak with upcoming movies being cast in Duke Nukem adaptation and Transformers spin-off Bumblebee. His movie Blockers was released in April grossing $75.4 million on a budget of $21 million. Still far away from his colleague, The Rock, but Cena is on a right path.
