Gameplay

The new game was shown in full for the first time at the EA state at E3 2017 by Janina Gavankar who will play the lead character of Iden Versio. According to Gavankar, there is much more content in this game than in the original and four classes for online gameplay together with Battle Points which can be spent to unlock Heroes such as Darth Maul and Rey.

We have already seen these two heroes in the Palace of Thede when the Droid army attacked the Clone Troopers which were stationed at that location. Four classes that we mentioned include Heavy that use a combat shield to push forward, whereas Assault utilizes Thermal Grenades. Other two are Officer that can increase the health of those surrounding him and Specialist that sets up tripmines. As John Boyega revealed, Finn and Captain Phasma would be a part of the “first season” of DLC, a season that revolves around The Last Jedi.

Digital Foundry 4K PC Gameplay

Hardware experts Digital Foundry put their hands on Star Wars Battlefront 2, and they were impressed with the fact that it ran on max settings on a PC, calling it one of the best looking games that use the Frostbite Engine. They loved lighting effects and textures on Droid army individuals in particular.

Pre-Order and Bonuses

If you pre-order any edition of the Star Wars Battlefront 2, you will have access to the Battlefront 2 beta once it releases. Furthermore, you will be granted instant access to The Last Jedi variant of the Millennium Falcon with improved sound and appearance as well as Yoda’s Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card. Single-Player Campaign Trailer

The trailer for the new game was revealed during the presentation at Star Wars Celebration Week in Orlando, Florida. We can see a group of elite Imperial fighters after the destruction of the second Death Star at the end of Return of the Jedi who promised to fight against the Rebels. In the trailer, there are also skirmishes on different planets as well as the multiplayer mode, while characters such as Yoda and Darth Maul are shown briefly.

As we have said before, Iden Versio will be the main character in the campaign, and she will lead “Inferno Squad” with the goal to avenge the Emperor. There are Officers, Shock Troopers and TIE Fighter pilots in the squad and we can see them fight on various surfaces.

Star Wars Universe

Star Wars Battlefront 2 follows the events immediately after the second Death Star destruction which means that the events will not reach those of The Force Awakens. In the new game, the planet of Vardos will be introduced, a utopia in which wealthy kind lives. Vardos citizens see the Empire as heroes and the Rebel Alliance as traitors.

All vehicles in Star Wars Battlefront 2

We will see a variety of vehicles in the Star Wars Battlefront 2. For instance, there will be the AAT tank, the First Order Snowspeeder which was supposed to debut in The Force Awakens and Luke’s personal Landspeeder which is spotted in the game trailer. Moreover, the Low Altitude Transport Carrier, the C979 Landing Craft, the Imperial Shuttle and the Resistance Transport Leia uses have been seen in concept form which means that they might be featured in Battlefront 2.

Multiplayer Heroes

In the 2015 variant of the game, anyone could play as a hero because they could be unlocked via tokens found around the multiplayer maps, but they will function differently in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Namely, they would be governed by “in-game resource.” In other words, well, it is a mystery, but they will work differently.
