Springtime Carnivore is not a band name you will quickly forget. It’s aggressive like no other, but their music isn’t, and that’s what’s important. The music that this band creates is a mixture of sunshine pop, folk-rock, and indie rock. In contrast with group’s name, amazing songs that they make are bright and intelligent. The frontman, or pardon us, the frontwomen of Springtime Carnivore is no other than Greta Morgan.

In addition to being the frontwoman of this band, she is also the only member. This might be a surprise for you, but Greta Morgan is a multi-instrumentalist. She was born on February 12th, 1988 and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. She can play guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums, on top of this, this girl can also sing.

Her career started with the band called The Hush Sound (from 2004 to 2008), and Gold Motel (from 2009 to 2011). Both of these bands were based in Chicago. After she left Gold Motel, Morgan relocated to Los Angeles. There she became a member of La Sera together with Katy Goldman of the Vivian Girls. The idea for band’s name came to her in a moment of inspiration while she worked on a song. During the creative process, Morgan saw a coyote and coined the name Springtime Carnivore. The debut single of her new band came out in August of 2014. During the recording, she played on almost all instruments. The only one she didn’t play was bass. Other songs from her debut album were recorded with producer Richard Swift at National Freedom Studio, based in Oregon. The first album carried the name of the band – Springtime Carnivore.

Greta Morgan’s second album came out in 2016 under the name Midnight Room. In the mid-time between two personal projects she also recorded covers with Katy Goodman of La Sera.
