Rick and Morty is a brilliant series, but as it appears, the fans are still going to wait for the Season 3. The fans expected that the new Season would be launched earlier and the creators of the show Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland take all the responsibility for this delay.

Harmon said at Sundance via Screenrant: “I don’t have a release date for season 3. It’s not that I know it and I’m not allowed to say it; it’s [Adult Swim’s] domain. What I will tell you is it’s late because of us, it’s late because of me.” He also said that it takes a longer time to write new episodes of Rick and Morty, but the reason for this is unknown.

It is known among the fans, that the creators of the show want everything to be just perfect and considering that the first two seasons were amazing, the pressure has increased. More and more people watch the series and Harmon and Roiland want the Season 3 to be as ingenious as the first two seasons.

Harmon told Shockya.com that “it’s been really hard” to create new episodes, which were supposed to air at the end of 2016. On the other hand, Roiland explained: “I mean it’s just because of the expectations and what we’ve done, looking at what we’ve done, looking at how it’s been received.”

“We don’t want to have a bad episode that’s universally considered oh, that’s Rick and Morty’s — that may arguably exist already but I dunno,” he went on to say. The Season 3 of the popular series is going to have 14 episodes, which is three additional compared to the last season.

Rick and Morty Season 3 Release Date

It is obvious that the production is still underway and hopefully Adult Swim will announce a premier date of the sequel for the Rick and Morty. The fans can only wait.
