Redskins Stop Carson Wentz And Win Fourth Straight

This NFC East division is just crazy. Giants looked like the best team to start the season, then Eagles won their first three matchups and became the best in the east. Cowboys are now widely considered as the best in the NFC East, but now we also have Redskins who are on a four-game winning streak.

Redskins were able to stop Eagles’ rookie sensation and 2nd overall pick Carson Wentz. He didn’t make many mistakes, but Washington turned him into the game manager at best. He went just 11/22 for 179 yards and no TDs and picks. He didn’t lose this match for the Eagles, but he really did nothing to help them win it.

Kirk Cousins had one of his classic games. He went 18/34 for 263 yards and two TDs to go along with his one interception. He usually has a better completion percentage, but the other numbers are just classic Cousins. It was enough against Philly as Washington is now 4-2 and looking within striking distance of Dallas Cowboys.

This team does a lot of things good, but nothing great. They just need to improve on the defensive side of the ball in order to become that serious playoff contender that they can be. This 27:20 win against the Eagles is a step in the right direction.
