What Are The Plans With Lesnar And His Universal Title?

Brock Lesnar has held the WWE title once since he came back to the company back in 2012. In the main event of the Summerslam pay per view, Lesnar was booked to destroy John Cena after beating the Undertaker at the Wrestlemania and handing him his first loss at Mania ever. The Beast Incarnate had a solid run with the title that lasted all the way until Mania 31 when Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank contract.

Now, he is going to have another run with the championship. As you know, he is not a full-time worker, so he is not going to be present at every single edition of Monday Night Raw. That means that he probably won’t defend the title at all those events that the company has on its calendar.

According to well-known source Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Brock Lesnar is not scheduled for the Payback PPV that takes place on April 30th in San Jose. Lesnar is going to defend the Universal title for the first time at either Extreme Rules event on June 4th or at Bad Blod, a pay per view that is scheduled to take place on the 9th of July.

There is a possibility for Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to be a part of the main event Payback PPV in order to establish The Mountain of a Man as the number one contender. It seems that WWE wants to go with him as Lesnar’s first challenger and that is why he is scheduled to go over Roman. Things could always change, but these are the plans that WWE has with these three in the main event picture.
