Jeep Gladiator Concept was introduced back in 2005 at the Detroit Auto Show, and if this truck hits the production line sometime soon, most of its buyers will be satisfied with what the pickup offers. The concept is equipped with a fold-down windshield, removable doors, and open-air canvas roof. Furthermore, if you want to transport some load, don’t worry, an expandable bed and extra storage compartments improve the cargo capacity and its capabilities.

Engine

Under the hood, the concept came with a 2.8-liter four-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel powerplant that produces 163 hp and 295 lb-ft torque, which was mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The truck features multi-link front and rear suspension, while coil over shocks are included at all four corners.

The ground clearance of the Jeep Gladiator is 13.7 inches, which is more than enough to tackle any kind of uneven terrain. The brake-over angle of the truck is 23.2 degrees, while approach and departure angles are 47.6 and 38.0 degrees respectively. The concept is equipped with 18×8-inch wheels, wrapped in 34-inch tires, so everything you need for serious offroading is provided here.

Jeep Gladiator Color

The dominant color inside the truck is Armor Green, but there are details in Dark Slate Grey color as well. The weatherproof seats and the cabin of the pickup are easy to maintain and clean. Some of the features you can find are GPS, a communication system, and a navigation system.

The width of the Gladiator’s bed is 4 feet, whereas the length is 5’8”. If you expand the midgate, you will get a 6’8” long bed, but if you also put the tailgate down, you will lengthen your bed to 8’11”, which is quite impressive. Moreover, this concept comes with a cabin-storage access panel on the driver’s side and a lockable storage panel in front of the rear wheel.
