iPhone 8 – Is This Its Final Design?

According to the rumors, Apple’s new iPhone 8 will be different from what we used to see. Even though there are some changes indeed, they are not as drastic as those that were rumored and we started to doubt that there will be those speculated major modifications. However, rumors are important, and we have two new ones coming from trusted sources.

Steve Hemmerstoffer – @OnLeaks on Twitter – somehow managed to get his hands on the detailed schematics for Apple’s new flagship device. He said that the information was “sourced directly from the factory in charge of building the new iPhone.”

The results are expected, and nothing is surprising – the 10th-anniversary phone will come with thinner bezels, a 5.8-inch display, and the same rear camera that most of the people hoped it would disappear. The 5.8-inch screen is bigger than the 5.5-inch screen on the iPhone 7 Plus, but the footprint is smaller due to the smaller bezels.

Based on the prototype measurements, the iPhone 8 will be slightly smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, fitting perfectly between this device and the smaller iPhone 7. Just to see the differences, we displayed the size of each of these gadgets below:

• iPhone 8 – 143.5 x 71 x 7.5 mm (5.65 x 2.79 x 0.29 in)
• iPhone 7 – 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm (5.44 x 2.64 x 0.28 in)
• iPhone 7 Plus – 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm (6.23 x 3.07 x 0.29 in)

These measurements are confirmed by case maker Olixar. We assume this information is correct and we believe Olixar because of his track record, but we suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt since there are tons of rumors out there.
