Game of Thrones Season 7 New Photos Reveal A Lot

The Game of Thrones Season 7 will be premiered this summer, and the official photos from new episodes have been presented. It is difficult to believe that this popular TV show only has 13 episodes left but at least George R.R. Martin is expected to publish his books.

The Hound and Thoros of Myr

These photos are dropped by HBO, and if we take a close look, we might manage to analyze them as they may reveal something about the plot. In the first photo, you can see Sandor Clegane also known as the Hound. After the bandits had interrupted his peaceful days with a priest, the Hound reunited with the Brotherhood Without Banners, and together they are riding into the real war in the north.

Let’s not forget about the Red Priest, Thoros of Myr. His role will be larger in the new season as Melisandre has been sent away by Jon Snow. Thoros, just like her, can resurrect people, and the example is Ser Beric Dondarrion who has been brought back from the dead numerous times. So, watching the Red Priest fight against White Walkers will be interesting.

Jaime and Cersei Lannister

At the end of Game of Thrones Season 6, Cersei Lannister destroyed her enemies and took over the Throne, while her brother and lover Jamie had arrived in the city only to realize that King Tommen, his last son was dead. Their relationship will be interesting to watch, but in the photo released by HBO, we can see them side by side. Are we going to see Jaime plotting against Cersei or is blood thicker than water? The army of Daenerys Targaryen is approaching, and this will definitely have some influence on Jamie’s decision.

Tormund Giantsbane and Brienne of Tarth

Brienne of Tarth is way more sophisticated than Tormund, but this is just a perfect match. In the new season, we are going to watch a love triangle – Brienne is in love with Jamie, while Tormund goes after Brienne and two of them make way more sense that Jamie and her.

Dany and the Crew

Daenerys Targaryen has finally crossed the Narrow Sea, and she is followed by a good group – Missandei, Varys, Grey Worm and Tyrion Lannister. In the photo, the army of Unsullied is seen behind, while everyone except Dany looks slightly worried – she, of course, has a poker face. Daenerys has changed a lot from the beginning of the show, and she became too invincible and too perfect, thus losing her character along the way.

She is righteous but uses vengeance to solve every problem, and Cersei for example, although a villain, is a more interesting character than Daenerys. She tries to be the hero, while Cersei makes mistakes and it is easier to relate to her. On the other hand, there is Jon Snow who is also a perfect character, but his choices were imperfect, leading him to death and difficult situations.

Dany was a hero throughout the story, but she can be perceived as a villain too. It was her family who almost destroyed the Seven Kingdoms, and she was away from Westeros most of the time, but she claims the Iron Throne. She will do anything to be the new queen – send a horde of barbarians and Unsullied, plus let’s not forget about dragons that can easily destroy armies and kill thousands. But, this is not the path HBO will choose. The place of a villain is reserved for Cersei.

Sansa Stark and Lord Petyr Baelish

The Game of Thrones Season 6 ended with a cliffhanger, and another relationship that will be interesting to watch is between Sansa Stark and Petyr Baelish also known as Littlefinger. He was responsible for almost everything bad that had happened in the show, but he had his good moments as well, such as saving Jon Snow’s army in the Battle of Bastards. Nevertheless, he will not fool anyone, and we are sure that this guy will again use lies and manipulation to achieve his goals. Hopefully, Sansa knows what she is doing.

Sansa has finally stopped being that whiny character and she has learned how to play the game. It is hard to imagine that Sansa will side with Littlefinger and go against Jon, but that is an option. Who knows, Lord Baelish must have an ace up his sleeve.

Bran – Three-Eyed Raven

Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven now, but what good is that? Does it have to do something with the past of the Stark family? Was Bran always the Three-Eyed Raven? Whatever the case is, he will probably have a big role in the future of Seven Kingdoms. In the photo, we also see Meera, who is struggling to pull him through the snow.

The Game of Thrones Season 7 will begin on July 16, and we will get all the answers as the season progresses. Winter is coming this summer.
