Dwayne Johnson Rules The Social Media According to HR

To be the most popular actor these days isn’t all about having millions of followers on social networks. There’s so much more. The criteria are many, and they just keep growing in number.

Hollywood Reporter, for example, doesn’t only focus on a number of followers but also on their engagement with the star. The magazine in question cooperates with MVPIndex company, which deals with analytics. They monitor social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and even G+.

Like we said they monitor weekly engagement on these networks and how many new followers/subscribers started following the named star.

This week the winner is no other than Rampage star Dwayne The Rock Johnson. This picture amassed more than 4 million likes, so it seems that this approach works. To fully realize that being No1 actor according to Hollywood Reporter is not easy, you need to look at the actors that are behind Johnson. The names that trail Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star are Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Kevin Hart, Dove Cameron, and Gal Gadot.

These days all prominent actors appreciate their followers and are continually thanking them on these same social media platforms. In the spirit of recently ended Oscar’s there could be a new category added to this ceremony: “Best Social Media Performance of the Year.”

The actor that wins it would have to read all the names of its fans. Just imagine Dwayne thanking his 100 million followers on Instagram, then moving to his 12 million fans on Twitter, and finishing with his 58 million on Facebook. The Rock could do this!
