Dwayne Johnson Is An Entertainment Machine

It was the year 2000 when Dwayne The Rock Johnson was trying to change careers and start fresh as an actor in Hollywood. He had a solid start with a role in The Mummy Returns where he had a chance to show his charisma. The Rock lacked experience though and didn’t have any system to follow, expect his idols such as Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Harrison Ford.

Johnson said: “I couldn’t say, ‘Oh, let me just follow the half-black and half-Samoan actor who was also a wrestler. Let me follow his path.’ That wasn’t an option, that wasn’t there. So I was forced to create my own.” He continued by adding “I have an ideology that I always like to share with the inner group, and with some people on the outside, and I’ll share it with you: I don’t just want to play the game. I want to change the way the game is played.”

He made a name for himself and is now one of the largest Hollywood stars and an owner of the production company. More than 84 million people follow this man on Instagram, while he has more than 11 million Twitter fans, whereas, in 2016, he earned $64.5 million which put him at the very top of Forbes’ highest paid actors list.

“Alone among his generation, Dwayne Johnson has aimed for middle of the road, broad, appealing, leading man status,” said Richard Rushfield, who runs the Hollywood newsletter The Ankler. “While his peers have carved out more edgy, cool, of-the-moment profiles, Johnson has assiduously whittled down the rough edges of his early ‘The Rock’ wrestling persona.”

An Entertainment Machine

Dwayne Johnson reminds us slightly of Schwarzenegger, who used to dominate in the summer. Johnson has appeared in the new Fast and Furious movie called The Fate of the Furious, and its popularity soared. Some other movies in which Johnson acted were disaster San Andreas and comedy Central Intelligence in 2015 and 2016 respectively. The premiere of Baywatch is scheduled for June 2.

Dwayne Johnson stated: “I love being able to create big movies or TV shows that entertain people, that make them happy. I know what it’s like to earn a dollar. I know what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck and wonder how you’re going to pay the rent. I know what it’s like to be evicted. Money doesn’t fall out of the sky. So if you’re going to pay for your ticket, that inspires me to want to make a great movie. I always say to everyone, ‘Hey, around the corner we’re getting evicted. Get to work!’ I drive everyone crazy with that.”

The 45-year-old actor and his ex-wife Dany Garcia own the production company called Seven Bucks and this among the other things Dwayne does only show that he thinks big and globally. This guy tries to evoke feelings in the audience, and that is his primary goal.

About Baywatch

Baywatch was one of the best TV shows at the time, and Johnson was only a teenager when it was aired. Now, he will appear in the Baywatch movie, which will be based on the series, but it will be nothing like it, as we are going to see more action, more lusciousness, and more fun. Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, and Alexandra Daddario will join The Rock in this film.

Dwayne loves to combine humor and action to entertain his fans. Making people laugh is exactly what his goal is. He says: “I always say, I have one boss. Not the movie studios … The audience. The people. They’ll dictate if there’s another one. I think we have a good shot. You know that cool feeling that you feel when you walk out of the theatre thinking, ‘That was the greatest movie!’ And you’re kind of floating and talking about it in the car? I like that kind of thing.”

The former WWE star is already working on the arcade game based film Rampage, and he will move on to shoot Skyscraper. In December, get ready for the release of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. As you can see, Johnson is a busy guy, and he said this when someone mentioned break: “What is this ‘break’ thing you speak of. But it’s a good time for me. There’s a lot of good things going around.”
