Dwayne Johnson can do it all – he is an athlete, an actor, a father and fans all over the world love him. Now he has become a movie critic. The Rock is advising people about the films and what they should watch. The one movie he recommended is the adaptation of IT, which is going to premiere in theaters around the country on Thursday. He even went to call IT one of his favorite films of all time.
The is not a small thing to say. The former WWE star saw the movie two months ago, but he managed to keep quiet and talk to nobody about it. Now, he has publicly shared his opinion on his Instagram account, and he couldn’t hide the excitement about IT. This is what he said about the film:
“I saw this movie two months ago, and it instantly became one of my all time favorites. Easily TOP 10 all time. Not only does it redefine the horror genre, but it’s so layered, smart and brilliantly scary. Congrats to the awesome young cast aka The Losers Club for killing their performances. To Bill Skarsgard for delivering an iconic performance as Pennywise.”
“And to the entire crew and my good buds at Warner Bros/New Line. And most of all congrats to director, Andy Muschietti for making such a defining film. You knocked it outta the park! Great talking with you man and we’re gonna have some fun working together down the road. As a huge fan of the horror genre, this one’s special. Have you fully recovered @simonegjohnson?” added Johnson.
In this post, The Rock hinted at his collaboration with IT director Andy Muschietti sometime in the future. However, there is no mention of them working together in the media, so could it be that Johnson said Black Adam found the new director?
The next DC movie after Aquaman is Shazam, but it will be directed by David Sandberg. Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam is confirmed to have been cut out of the movie. Anyway, let’s get back to the topic. If Dwayne Johnson believes IT is one of the greatest movies he has ever seen, then all of us need to watch IT!
