Deadpool 2: Pierce Brosnan Possibly Playing Cable

“Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds has recently shared a photo of himself, Hugh Jackman, the “Wolverine” star and Pierce Brosnan on Instagram, with caption “Wolvie. Bond. Wade.” This has led people to the conclusion that Brosnan is likely to take part in the upcoming Deadpool sequel. This is only speculation, as there hasn’t been any official confirmation yet. Brosnan is not the only one rumored for this part. Some say that Kyle Chandler, one of the main actors in TV series “Bloodline,” might take on the role of Cable, as well.

We also have some news when it comes to the character alone. On January 16, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the movie producers, explained that they had realized Cable was too complex and that it would be rather difficult to portray his origin story. According to Collider, here’s what Wernick said about this issue: “So with Cable, he’s got such a convoluted past, and such a convoluted origin story that I think we’re going to try to leave that, not mysterious, but there are a lot of twists and turns, cloning and all this stuff where you go, ‘Oh my God. How do we get that across in a two-hour movie?’” And then he added: “I think we’re going to distill him down to his essence. It will be authentic and faithful, but it’s not going to include the 18,000 details if you were going to read a Wikipedia page about Cable, you’d roll your eyes.”

While we are still wondering about Cable, two other characters have been confirmed to make an appearance in “Deadpool 2”. These are Colossus, played by Stefan Kapicic and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, portrayed by Brianna Hildebrand. Finally, there’s one more important piece of information: the shooting of the highly anticipated sequel has been pushed back, so it will not start until June this year.
