Dallas Cowboys: Running Back Situation Going Into 2017

The team that was known for running the ball all season long is the Dallas Cowboys. The game plan for this squad was always simple – run the ball, control the clock, keep the defense on the bench. They had the best running attack in the league, and we expect that they will be at the top of the ladder when it comes to yards on the ground yet again in 2017. Everything starts with their star running back – Ezekiel Elliot.

When we talk about the running game of the Dallas Cowboys, the only guy that we need to talk about is Zeke. He is known for being a great downhill runner. When he sees a hole, he hits it quick and hard. North to South is the style of running that suits him the best. Yes, he can juke you out with his moves, but that is not the best thing that he does.

While he is elusive, it is his quickness, speed, and explosiveness that is enabling him to tear the defenses apart. The offensive line that he has helps him a lot, and there is no doubt about that, but at the end of the day, this man has the talent to get the most out of the situation that he is in.

Darren McFadden will help him in 2017, just like Morris will if he indeed makes the roster, but the man in the backfield is Zeke. He is also capable of lining up as a wideout and catching some balls or even grabbing the dimes from Prescott out of the backfield. Cowboys will feature him yet again, and he is going to be one of the best backs in the game with some monster numbers during the entire season.
