Big News On Summerslam Main Event

Extreme Rules pay per view is going to give us a Superstar that is going to challenge the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar at the Great Balls of Fire PPV for his Universal Championship. Lesnar is expected to win that match and to go into the Summerslam as the champion. But, who is going to be his opponent at the biggest show of the summer?

Well, the new information is that whoever wins that fatal five-way on Sunday, he is going to challenge Lesnar in a one-and-done match. There won’t be a rematch or the continuation of the feud after the Great Balls of Fire pay per view in July. Why is that the case?

It is because WWE still has Braun Strowman ready for Brock Lesnar at the Summerslam event. It is expected that Strowman is going to return from his injury somewhere around mid-July. That is going to give the WWE more than enough time to build up Strowman and this matchup as the main event in Brooklyn this August.

It is worth to point out that the original plans were for Strowman to beat Roman Reigns for this number one contender’s spot at Extreme Rules and then to go on to the Great Balls of Fire as the number one contender for the Beast Incarnate’s belt. Even though they had to alter their plans just a little bit due to this Strowman injury, it seems that they are staying on the course and the big picture on Monday Night Raw is going to remain the same.
