Spy photos of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler surfaces! It is rumored that these were taken on a road near Ann Arbor, Michigan.

These photos are courtesy of a Carscoops reader Andy, and we can clearly see that the prototype is heavily camouflaged. Even though we don’t see much the company promised an ‘evolutionary’ design which will feature numerous aerodynamic styling improvements. It is speculated that front fender vents should be included alongside a new hardtop that is going to be easier to remove even though in general little is known so far.

Since the changes in terms of the appearance of this vehicle are minor, we expect a set of aluminum components which will reduce weight and therefore improve the fuel efficiency. The company said almost nothing about specifics, but we speculate that doors, hood, and tailgate will be made from the lightweight material.

Even though the Wrangler is known as a rough off-road vehicle, we expect a redesigned interior with better materials and finer design when it comes to 2018 version. According to some of the previous spy photos, we will see a revised center stack, a brand new three-spoke steering wheel, and a new switchgear. When it comes to other ‘minor’ tweaks, the company will most likely include a new 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system, chrome details and a painted trim.

Jeep didn’t say much about the engine lineup, but according to a recent report, we should have two variations of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder and two versions of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 to choose from. We might even be in store for two diesel units which would include a 2.2-liter four cylinder and a 3.0-liter V6.
