After a whole lot of teasing and marketing, it is finally here! We now know the price of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, and it will be “modest” $86,090. Modest is because the said price will also include the $1,700 gas guzzler tax and $1,095 destination charge plus it is definitely a bargain when you consider that this is a high performance and very exclusive vehicle.

If you did not know by now, the SRT Demon offers 840 horsepower, 770 pound-feet of torque, 1.8 g of acceleration, as well as a 0-60 MPH time of just 2.3 seconds and it is also capable of doing wheelies. Let me see you find another like that for less than $86k. To make it even more desirable and wanted Dodge decided to offer many of the options for only $1 each, and they are throwing in a one-day driver training course at the Bob Bondurant School of High-performance Driving in Chandler, Arizona.

In the list of $1 options first and foremost will be the Demon Crate that is worth around $6,140, and it will offer Demon-branded tools for installing various parts to the car, narrow front-runner drag wheels, and the all-important powertrain control module with high-octane engine calibration (needed to achieve those 840 HP). Some of the other $1 options include front passenger seat, rear seat, and trunk carpet, but there are more expensive options as well. You can opt for red seat belts ($195), heated and ventilated leather front seats and heated steering wheel ($1,595), 18 speaker Harman Kardon Audio and front passenger seat package ($995) and black satin graphics package ($3,495). The most expensive option that is offered is a sunroof, and it costs $4,995, but you will all agree that it’s kind of unnecessary for the Demon and may lower its resale value down the line.

Dodge also offers you a wide range of popular Challenger colors to choose from, 15 to be exact. These include B5 Blue (late availability), Billet Silver, Destroyer Gray, F8 Green (late availability), Go Mango, Granite Crystal, Indigo Blue (late availability), Maximum Steel, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Plum Crazy (late availability), Redline, TorRed, White Knuckle and Yellow Jacket. But what is truly sad is that this vehicle will be limited to only 3.000 units for the United States and another 300 for Canada. As we managed to find out the first deliveries are due to start in the fall and the great news is that, despite the crazy Demon mods, you still get the standard 3-year 36.000-mile limited vehicle warranty and 5 year/60.000 mile limited powertrain warranty.
