The 2017 Volvo XC90 Excellence goes on sale in Australia. The price of the car will start at $172,200. The new SUV represents the flagship model in the XC90 family.
The new car comes with a four-seat arrangement like in a limo, which is much different from its seven-seat sibling. Furthermore, individual rear bucket seats are included. These seats can be adjusted electronically and they are heated and ventilated.

Furthermore, the car is equipped with touchscreen entertainment systems and each passenger in the rear gets to enjoy one of these. In addition, the cabin features a lengthy center console with integrated tables, which can be extended to the second row of seats. Moreover, there are heated/cooled cupholders.
Nappa leather is used for the seats and one can opt for charcoal or beige color. Also, the refrigerator is located inside the center console, whereas a Bowers & Wilkins sound system will make your ride even more pleasant.
The car is also equipped with the eight-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels. The customers can opt for ten different colors, but seven are shades of white, black or gray. As for the other three, you can pick Twilight Bronze, Luminous Sand and Magic Blue.
The same plug-in hybrid powertrain we can find on the T8 R-Design is present here. The powertrain combines a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter V4 petrol unit with an electric motor and a battery. The hybrid produces 300kW and 640 Nm of torque, whereas the car has an AWD.
The baby seat and the recliner seat possible to enter the production but we don’t know this yet. Although $170,000 seems much just compare it to other luxury SUVs such as Bentley Bentayga which costs $420,600 or Range Rover SVAutobiography priced at $347,900.
